Kaiser Permanente’s Queen & Libro
At Swazzle Puppet Studio I was the builder behind the Queen Palabra & Libro puppets for Kaiser Permanente’s live community outreach shows. Both puppets were constructed to be performed with the puppeteers in full view of the audience. Queen Palabra was a combination of a scott foam head and an L-200 arms & body. She was covered in antron fleece.
The Queen with her royal subjects in the live show.
Libro the dog was made of L-200 foam. His middle was like an accordion to allow maximum movement, & he was covered in 4 different types of fur. Libro was performed with one hand through the back of his head, & another holding a handle on his back like a suitcase.
