Finished puppet with the rest of The Simpsons family.
Homer Simpson
At Swazzle Puppet Studio, I was the builder behind Homer Simpson. Translating this character from 2-D to 3-D wasn’t easy, so we used toys as our guide. Among other details, the toys helped inform how Homer’s hair would sit on his head (both on the top and on the sides) and how to represent that in three dimensions. To learn more, check out the behind-the-scenes photos below, and consider contacting me to help bring your puppet project to life!

Lisa Simpson
At Swazzle Puppet Studio, I was also the builder behind Lisa Simpson. Translating her from 2-D to 3-D wasn’t easy, so we used toys as our guide. Among other details, the toys helped inform how Lisa’s spikes/hair would look in a three dimensions.
