Tuba Yeti- Weird Al’s “Polka Face” Video
The Yeti segment in Weird Al Yankovic’s “Polka Face” music video was conceived of by puppeteer Victor Yerrid & shot on the Jim Henson Company Lot. I was brought onto the project to construct and puppeteer the Tuba Yeti. This is one of two times I got to work with Weird Al, and he is a kind and amazing person. The Tuba Yeti was made out of scott foam and covered in fur & custom dyed fleece. His teeth were sanded L200 foam.
He was a full-body puppet, performed on green screen by 3 puppeteers- I was on the head & body, with another puppeteer on arms, and another on the feet.
