Chad Stevens is a character from an animated series on IFC called “Out There”.

At Swazzle Puppet Studio I was the builder behind the Chad Stevens costume. It was made for the creator of the series, for use at a convention, promoting the animated series. His head was made of L-200 foam, covered in fur and mounted onto a backpack that the performer would wear. This keeps the weight on the performer’s shoulders, as opposed to their head. His upper & lower body pieces were made of patterned soft foam, and the performer put them on like overalls.
