All-American Rejects “Sandbox” Puppet Cast
The All-American Rejects Sandbox music video was one of the first commissions for my new boutique puppet business! Here I designed and built the video’s 6 main puppet characters and was also the lead performer and Puppet Captain. This was a fun and exciting project, as it was smack dab in the middle of December, and I had only TEN DAYS to design and build SIX PUPPETS! I grabbed whatever materials I had on hand (or could find during the holiday season) and got to work. In the end it was all worth it as we had a total blast shooting with this legendary band, and the video turned out great! All the puppets were built with scott foam heads and arms but do to the EXTREME time crunch their bodies were just furry sleeves, and they were covered in polar fleece instead of the traditional antron.
The puppet cast included a frog and a pig puppet…but not the ones you might expect.
