Team StarKid “Starship” Puppet Cast
I designed (and alongside Russ Walko, built) the insectoid cast of puppet characters for Team StarKids’ live show, “Starship”. These were full-body puppets, performed on stage by puppeteers in full view of the audience. All the puppets in this show were built with scott foam & L-200 foam, with aluminum braces that attached to the puppeteers to distribute the weight. They were covered in a shiny, velvet material.
Pincer was a giant puppet, performed by a whole team of puppeteers.
Roach was a traditional hand puppet made of scott foam and covered in fur and velvet.
